Homemade Roasted Turkey Breast covered in our homemade rub is the best for Thanksgiving or any day dinner. The rub used in this recipe is a perfect combination of spices.
To elevate the flavor, we choose to roast our boneless turkey breast in cast iron, use our rub, and rest the breast on a bed of vegetables while cooking. This is always a huge hit even if it’s not being cooked for the holidays. It’s the ideal meal to serve to a smaller group without the major effort of cooking and carving an entire whole turkey!
BEST TURKEY BREAST
When we were kids, we were excited when mom caught a boneless turkey breast on sale at Piggly Wiggly. It was pleasant to have no bones to cut or eat around. It ended the arguments over who got the bigger or better slices… each slice is uniform. The flavor created by the way we roast our boneless turkey breast is spectacular, the meat is moist and tender, requiring no gravy unless it’s desired.
Roasted Turkey Breast with mashed potatoes, gravy, and Cornbread Stuffing is always a huge hit. Our boneless roast turkey looks sensational, and its flavor is delightful. Your family will ask for this to be added to the dinner cycle.
Your diners will be astonished that turkey can be this tender and filled with so much flavor!

Seems a long time to roast a turkey breast. No mention if the roast was thawed or frozen when it went into the oven.
Thanks for all your food ideas.
Mike
Sorry about that, I said in the beginning of the video that it was frozen because I forgot to get it out to defrost.
Anne
I’m doing a small early Thanksgiving with a friend who will bee alone. If the turkey is thawed when I put in the oven, will the time be based on the interior temperature? Thank you so much for the videos and recipes 😊
Mike
Yes Anne exactly right. You want to reach internal temperature of at least 165. If thawed, probably just under 2 hours.
Anne
Great! Thanks, Mike!

Using a #8 cast iron deep fryer. Lid on or off? By the time you answer I'll have figured it out, but a good point to add in directions
