Chocolate Gravy and Biscuits
In Southern Kentucky, it was the breakfast you begged for. Chocolate Gravy and Biscuits were mom and granny’s treat for the youngsters. When we had kids ourselves, if we wanted them to get tasks done, all you had to do is say that Chocolate Gravy and Biscuits will be ready when those chores are finished! As grown men, honestly this is still our favorite.
Like with most of our recipes, whether you’re looking for a delightful tasty breakfast, or a quick delicious solution, this receipt clearly punches that ticket! We chose to save you time by simply selecting some store-bought biscuits, allowing the dish to be ready in minutes.
We enjoy serving Chocolate Gravy and Biscuits typically only once a month, that way it will always stay a special treat. If your mama cooked it, you have been dreaming of this simple recipe. If you've never experienced this delight, you OWE this treat to you and your family!

HOW TO MAKE OUR CHOCOLATE SAUCE GRAVY AND BISCUITS
Put butter to the skillet and allow it to melt. Heat the skillet on medium setting to get the butter hot and sizzling.
Sprinkle flour over the melted butter mixture in the skillet. Whisk in the cocoa power together to make a brown paste, being sure to leave no lumps. Stir and blend the sugar into the skillet. Increase the temperature to medium high.
Gradually add in the milk, whisking constantly until gravy thickens.
If mixture gets too thick gradually add a little more milk.
Add the vanilla extract after you have reached the gravy consistency. Continue to heat and stir until ready to serve over an open biscuit.

These look awesome! The only thing is, I'm afraid that I'd eat all of them at one sitting! I've never heard of these before. A bit unusual, but they gotta be amazing!
Mike
They are addictive! I used to love to get to lick the spoon after they were made.
Jo
Oh, Wow! This may be even better than Grandma's chocolate gravy.
Mike
They are rich, but as kids we couldn't get enough of this. It kept us running til it got dark.
