SKILLET WILTED LETTUCE
Growing up in Corbin, Kentucky we had a large garden, we had wild lettuce growing that we used throughout the season. Needless to say, we never wasted anything, so mom and granny served dishes using that free lettuce. We loved it when they fixed Wilted Lettuce, cover in that delicious bacon grease and crumbled bacon! Almost anything that had a hint of bacon, like our Green Beans and Potatoes., we loved. Mom always made some type of potatoes. The flavor was amazing, and its appearance was charming.
Killed Lettuce is a delightful and pleasant side dish, perfect for any meal. When served in a cast iron skillet will impress your friends and family. This flavorful recipe can be ready in just minutes and is a lovely green side dish.
It’s so delicious.

My son put the 3 pack of beautiful Romain lettuce in the freezer. Would that still work for this salad?
