Ingredients
2Pie Crusts
8apples peeledcored and sliced
1tspLemon Juice
1cupSugar
½cupFlour
2tspCinnamon
¼tspNutmeg
1Egg
¼cupSanding Sugar
Instructions
Grease a 10" skillet.
Place 1 pie crust in prepared skillet and crimp top.
Preheat oven to 400.
Place apple slices in a large bowl.
Drizzle with lemon juice.
Add sugar, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Toss to coat.
Transfer coated apple slices to pie crust in skillet.
Take remaining pie crust and cut into strips.
Remove every other strip and use them to basketweave the strips.
Transfer to the top of the pie.
Beat egg in small dish.
Brush lattice top with egg wash.
Sprinkle lattice with sanding sugar.
Dust with sanding sugar.
Bake for 40 minutes, until crust is browned.
