HOMEMADE RUB FOR PORK
Growing up in Corbin, KY, we always had a large can filled with our Homemade Rub. It was a required task to be done to nearly every meat dish. Routinely mom or granny allowed one of us kids to help. We loved to feel needed and to be playing a role in making dinner. Today, we do the same with our kids. We discovered that it introduced them to be interested in cooking. Our family rub has been shared and used for years.
Our meat rub creates beautiful results on all meats especially a Pork Butt for Pulled Pork Sandwiches. Serve some sandwiches along with some Mac & Cheese!

INGREDIENTS FOR MEAT RUB RECIPE
- Brown Sugar
- Kosher Salt
- Paprika
- Black Pepper
- Onion Powder
- Garlic Powder
- Chili Powder
- Cayenne Pepper
- Crushed Red Pepper
- Cumin
INSTRUCTIONS FOR HOMEMADE PORK RECIPE
Combine all ingredients into a mixing bowl.
Mix the ingredients and stir until fully blended.
Apply our Pork Rub liberally on all sides of the meat.
