Salisbury Steak

Skillet Salisbury Steak is a simple and delicious anytime meal prepared in a cast iron skillet.

Patties:
- 1 lb Lean Ground Beef
- 1 Egg
- ⅓ cup Bread Crumbs
- 1 tsp Onion Powder
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tbsp Ketchup
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire
- ¼ tsp Salt
- ¼ tsp Pepper
Gravy:
- 2 tbsp Butter
- 3 tbsp Flour
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire
- ½ tsp Onion Powder
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 2 cup Beef Stock
- 2 tbsp sliced Mushrooms
In a large bowl, combine all patty ingredients and mix with hands until incorporated.
Form into 4 patties.
Cook in a skillet over medium heat about 3 minutes per side until browned.
Remove patties to a plate and set aside.
Add butter to skillet and allow to melt.
Add flour and whisk to form a roux.
Cook roux for several minutes.
Add worcestershire, onion powder and garlic powder while continuing to whisk.
Gradually whisk in beef stock to blend in roux to liquid.
Raise temperature to medium high and bring to a boil.
Add mushrooms and return patties to skillet.
Simmer 5 minutes over medium heat until gravy has thickened.
