Skillet Cherry Cobbler is a Beautiful Southern Masterpiece made in a cast iron skillet. This homemade cherry dessert is a Holiday and Fall Pick that everybody adores. Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp Butter or Lard
  • 2 cup Flour
  • 2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 ½ cup Sugar
  • 3 tsp Baking Powder
  • ¾ tsp Salt
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 3 can Cherry Pie Filling

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350.
  • Grease 12" skillet with butter or lard and set aside.
  • In alarge bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cinnamon, baking powder and salt until blended.
  • Pour in milk slowly while whisking
  • Pour cherries into skillet.
  • Pour batter into skillet over cherries.
  • Bake 55-60 minutes until golden brown.
  • If edges start to get too dark, use aluminum foil to keep edges from getting overdone.
